Finance Committee

1.1.           The Finance Committee shall be comprised of the Treasurer, serving as chair, the chair(s) of the Endowment Committee, the chair(s) of the Contributions Review Committee, the President, the Vice President, the immediate Past President and such other members of the Board and the Congregation as may be appointed by the President.

1.2.           The Committee shall meet at least annually.

1.3.           The Committee responsibilities include:

1.3.1.           Recommending the annual budget to the Board and the Congregation.

1.3.2.           Overseeing the Synagogue finances, assuring that expenses are kept within the budget, and reporting variances to the Board and recommending appropriate actions.

1.3.3.           Recommending the financial policies for action by the Board.

1.3.4.           Meeting with the auditor at least once annually to review the audit and receive recommendations from the auditor on ways to improve the financial management systems.
