How is your donation put to work? Hadassah is the largest worldwide volunteer organization (over 300,000 members), the largest women’s organization in America, and it has international chapters in 28 countries, including Israel. Hadassah provides world renown medical care in its hospitals and clinics to all residents of Israel as well as people living in the West Bank and Gaza, no matter their nationality or religion. Hadassah physicians and nurses have eagerly provided training to foreign medical personnel, either by conducting clinics in foreign countries or inviting medical teams to Israel. Some examples of medical research and innovative treatments conducted at Hadassah hospitals and shared among colleagues are: cystic fibrosis, Parkinson’s, metabolic disorders, multiple sclerosis, stem cell research, Crohn’s disease, trauma, oncology, plastic surgery and more. So, if you are already a member, you have a lot to be proud of. If you wish to become a member, the organization fulfills your philanthropic goals in helping Israelis in the areas of education, health, environment, the arts, youth, women’s issues and much more.
Membership is $25/yr or $250/life and is open to women, men and children and all religious affiliations. Marcia Wrubel and Barbara Edelstein are the Leaders of the Hadassah Group.
